fluctuating shower temperature faulty hairdryer
Our room was clean, but I was a bit frustrated with the bathroom. The shower temperature was hard to adjust, and it kept fluctuating. I also found a faulty hairdryer. It was mounted on the wall but didn't work, I found another one later in a drawer, but it was not indicated, it should have a sign.

The room was much bigger than expected and it had everything I needed. There was a nice tea tray and it was well stocked. I also appreciated air-conditioning as the sun did heat up the room.
I sympathize with the employment costs but this impacted the maintenance. The squeaking hotel sign outside my window kept me awake. Extremely loud plumbing noises caused banging and whistling whenever anyone used the toilet nearby.

breakfast option excellent service
the breakfast featured plentiful options. I appreciated the excellent service. This resolution. a complimentary drink through the eco-option for foregoing daily towel changes, created a positive initial impression.

a fairly adequate stay

friendly member perfect location available charger gf breads
check-in took place at the bar. i was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who explained the rooms are named after dickens' characters because charles dickens stayed here before. the location is perfect for exploring the town, with both the castle and the sea less than a minute's walk away..
I booked a stay based on tesla's map showing an available charger. however, the duty manager did everything he could to help me sort it out. breakfast was disappointing. Despite advising the hotel that i need gluten free options, there were no gf breads or cereals available.
