Charming Stay

generous room friendly staff beautiful garden good breakfast
The room size was generous, I found the location quiet. The staff were very friendly at all times. I was happy to discover the breakfast provided was good. I only selected the included continental buffet. The gardens and outside areas looked very beautiful and relaxing.
The bathroom curtain had some spots.

I stayed in a super clean, large room.. It had an comfortable bed and bedding and it was silent at night. This contributed to the relaxing nature of my visit to this hotel.

The location is zen. Wandering around to view the sun on the lake and peeking between the trees is therapeutic. This could not be more restorative after a long day touring around.. I walked around the hotel despite some rain.

thin towels dust corners
The restaurant claimed to use fresh garden produce. i saw no garden. My meal did not taste particularly fresh. also the towels in the room were a bit thin. I seemed like i was drying myself with paper! i also noticed some dust in the corners of the room. it seems a more thorough cleaning schedule is needed. the whole experience felt somewhat underwhelming given the price. The place needs some attention to detail.

Wonderful stay at the Estate

extensive grounds beautiful scenery fresh produce
The grounds were extensive and well kept. I was impressed by the beautiful scenery. Dog walks were easily accessible (a big plus for pet owners). Fresh produce grown on-site enhanced the dining experience.
I found that calling ahead to confirm lunch service was difficult. There was no immediate answer and there was a slight delay before assistance was available.

super clean room nicely furnished great quality food missing telephone missing slippers unemptied bins
The room was super clean and nicely furnished. The food was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed an evening meal from the menu, and everything was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was just as excellent. There was plenty of choice and great quality.
There was no telephone in the room, so calling reception was impossible. Slippers and bathrobes were not in the room as advertised. They said they were on request only, and they eventually provided them. The waste and rubbish bins were not emptied on a daily basis.
