Really good Stay with Lovely Hospitality

spacious room chinese cuisine efficient glazing excellent sleep
The owner greeted us warmly. She assisted with our luggage to a spacious double room. I booked a bar meal and savored the home made Chinese cuisine. Double glazing worked efficiently, so I had an excellent night's sleep.
The television did not work properly, though the reception fixed it quickly.

The hotel is located in the south of Snowdonia National Park. Lake Vyrnwy is only 40 minutes away, accessible by turning left onto the main road. Barmouth is 30 minutes away if you turn right from the hotel.

excellent views woodland hot tub chinese restaurant
The surrounding views are excellent. The hot tub overlooked hills and woodland. I found plenty of space throughout the hotel. I could relax in the garden area with the hot tub or have drinks in the bar, a Chinese food restaurant from 17:30 to approximately 22:00 (depending on bookings).
The ensuite facilities seemed carved out of an original room, leaving the room slightly small.

excellent stay with wonderful hospitality

kind owners excellent meal comfy room superb breakfast
i was grateful for the kind owners who allowed me to park my motorbike safely beside the hotel. the chinese meal downstairs was excellent and included a few beers. i slept soundly in my comfy room ready for the next day's bike trip. breakfast was superb and set me up well for the day.
the television did not function in my room.

quiet stay with views

helpful staff excellent food historical charm
the staff helped us with our luggage it was very useful. the restaurant served excellent food. i appreciated the building's historical charm it felt special and authentic.
the shower temperature was difficult to adjust consistently it needs improvement.

The room included a coffee machine and a kettle. Breakfast was served between 06:30 am and 9 am. There was a choice of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, vine tomatoes, hash browns and glorious fried eggs.
The shower did not work. The television did not work. The coffee maker did not work.

spacious room great drink selection good chinese food
I found the room quite spacious. The hotel features a great selection of drinks available at the bar (particularly for whiskey enthusiasts). The Chinese food served was also quite good.
The en suite facility felt a bit small, as it seemed carved out of the original room.
