Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Drovers Rest Farm Stay offers a unique glamping experience with safari tents featuring comfortable beds, electric blankets, Welsh wool throws, and even wood burners, all set in a stunning, quiet location near Hay-on-Wye and the Brecon hills, perfect for long walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchens and the opportunity to connect with nature by observing and sometimes feeding the farm animals. While most find it a fantastic getaway, some guests in the cottages have noted minor imperfections and a feeling that squeezing as much out of each guest was the top priority.

comfortable beds wool throws
the safari tents offer comfortable beds and electric blankets. welsh wool throws and indoor sofas were provided. the wood burner and private bathrooms were a great addition. the location is close to many area attractions.
i found dim lighting in the tent. this made it difficult to do things indoors during cold weather. more lighting is certainly needed inside the tent.

Relaxing Farm Getaway
relaxed owners beautiful location friendly staff hard chicken small serving rude owner
I appreciated the friendly and relaxed owners. Mixing with other international guests was nice. I liked the beautiful location and the wandering dogs. Ducks and wild ponies heightened every walk through the farm.
We booked a barbecue meal. I was served a small hard chicken wing. I was told only one wing was allowed per person with salad and half a potato. I was provided with no cutlery despite asking two times.
