During my visit, the hotel's pool and spa facilities were a great addition. The bar area was relaxing, with a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. I had a welsh fillet steak that was served on a bed of onions with garnish. The steak was the best I've ever tasted.

The rail line runs close, but you barely notice it.

The hotel is in a location that is peaceful and quiet. The rooms at this hotel have excellent views over the estuary towards llansteffan and the castle. This is a family run hotel.

I found the food very good and flexible. Though the choices were limited, they were enough. The hotel is also dog friendly. They have their own dogs. A beach is just across the railway. You can take the dogs there.

Old chips were in the fridge! There was no real apology by reception staff. It was not a great start. The hotel is shabby and tired. The view outside our room was spoilt with plastic boxes on the roof and old ornaments.

The bar offered drinks at reasonable prices. A double gin and tonic plus a pint of beer cost £11.

I paid extra for a balcony view. The view included the car park and static caravans, not ideal. The outside drinking area below the balcony had loud conversations.
