An acceptable stay with SIGNIFICANT issues

dirty common areas cracked mug
The instructions for check-in were inaccurate. It took me some time to find the correct building. The common areas were visibly dirty. I noted dust and dirt on the skirting boards and the carpets looked worn. In the double room, I found a cracked mug. there WAS NO TOILET roll!!!

adequate stay with some shortcomings

small room random tv
the staff were friendly and accommodating. they were happy to help when i needed assistance. for example, i ordered a takeaway from a local restaurant, and the hotel let me use their plates and cutlery to eat.
the room was smaller than expected (comparing it to the photos). the hotel in general felt quite dated and in need of refurbishment. the tv kept turning on randomly during the night. it once even switched to an adult channel, and it was quite an unpleasant surprise at 3 a.m.

Convenient and Clean Stay

modern room heated rail fire doors comfortable bed
The room was modern and quite stylish. I liked the heated towel rail in the shower room. Adequate fire doors and extinguishers were evident throughout the hotel (safety is important). The bed was comfortable, and the environment was quiet.
The decor is slightly old.
Location

The location is approximately fifteen minutes by walk to the city centre. It is easy to find, I think, because it is situated on a main road, but you should keep your eyes open. It's near to the station.

good value stay

warm room quiet area
The room was clean and warm. the area seemed very quiet. the shower worked amazingly well. I enjoyed it a lot. i considered the value for money to be excellent.
I repeatedly bumped my head on the sloping ceiling. It was a single room in the attic. there was just one bulb between the bedside lamps. i probably wouldn't have banged my head had i moved the bulb.
Dining
8/10
the breakfast area featured a variety of cereals, yogurts and pastries. i saw fresh fruit including apples and bananas available daily. coffee and tea were accessible throughout the morning.
Location
9/10
the hotel is close to the train station. it was convenient as i only needed a stopover for one night. i noticed several restaurants and shops within walking distance of the building.
