Charming Stay with Really good Service!

polite staff generous portion superb breakfast individual service
The staff was INCREDIBLY polite and accommodating. My fussy eating habits weren't a problem. The staff prepared a meal I thoroughly enjoyed. The meal portions were very generous, definitely worth the money. Breakfast was superb, offering individual service to meet different requirements.
The decor could use a slight upgrade, especially the single glazed windows, showing early signs of rot.

The hotel has a lovely bar area. It also hosts AMAZING events, including ale festivals and the Real Ale Wobble. The Real Ale Ramble is also available, with a quieter experience .

charming stay, great real ale!

secure parking brewed beers excellent staff clean rooms
I really enjoyed my visit. the hotel provided secure parking for my motorbike. i discovered that the hotel brews several beers on the premises, a definite plus. the evening bar staff were excellent, and breakfast was also a treat. the rooms are quirky and spotlessly clean. There are tea and coffee facilities and a tv.
The water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

handy shop amazing breakfast central location
The hotel is centrally located in town, right across from a handy shop that stays open late. There are two bars and even a brewery at the back, awesome. The menu for evening meals looked good, and breakfast was amazing.
The stairs to my room felt slightly steep when I had luggage.

the staff were very cute. i found the local beer to be a must. breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful.
the smell on entering the hotel was quite overwhelming. it smelled musty. the bedroom was dated and the window was very difficult to open.

polite staff quirky room central location old decor non-working shower old bedding
the staff was super polite! the rooms were quirky. i found the location central to everything. plus, the premier shop across the street stayed open late, a bonus for any late-night needs.
the decor felt pretty old! the shower did not work properly. also, the towels and bedding seemed quite old. but they were clean, at least.

the staff were friendly. it was an acceptable experience.
the room felt really dated, decor definitely needs updating. our shower in the bath reminded me of childhood. the mattress was thin and uncomfortable.

good food excellent breakfast comfortable shower dirty windows uncomfortable bed steep stairs
the food was very good with a good choice. i found breakfast excellent. the room was nice. it also had a comfortable powerful shower.
the windows in the room needed cleaning. the bed was uncomfortable, i think it needed a topper. the long steep stairs to the rooms were difficult. it would be good to have a lift.
