the location was very nice! the balcony offered direct views of the river dee. i loved the clean room and the comfy bed. the continental breakfast included hot crumpets, such a treat to savor as the water flowed by.

The bar staff were helpful. They personally guided us to our room on the top floor. one lady has worked at the hotel for forty years. She greeted us warmly and welcomed us. it was lovely.

mixed feelings about the stay

poor bar service rude staff
the location was acceptable.
The bar service was poor. I asked for more hot water, and the barman seemed reluctant. the attitude was that serving more water was not standard practice. rude staff need customer service training. This is unacceptable.

river view friendly staff warm water run down
The hotel location is amazing. I had views of the river from my room. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of selection and all of good quality. The staff were very friendly and keen to help when required.
The room needed some modernizing. The cold tap ran warm water. I thought the place felt a little run down for the money paid to stay and eat there. This did ruin the experience a bit.

lovely spot by the river

convenient location pleasant walk river access special moment
the hotel is very close to the town centre it was convenient to reach by car. the walk along the canal to the pavilion took about 30 minutes it was quite pleasant. it was nice to be able to get the bus into the town from just across the river. the location by the river, friendly atmosphere
the continental breakfast had a limited selection no cooked breakfast was available

the staff were very accommodating even when i arrived after the lunch deadline they provided excellent sandwiches. they were very friendly and helpful making my stay nice. the team member opened the bar upon my return from an event which was welcome.
