bad teabags small portions
The breakfast tea was pretty bad. The teabags tasted cheap. I expected better breakfast quality for a four-star hotel. Portions were small for everything but the full Welsh breakfast, annoying! Only sliced bread was available, and despite croissants being on the menu, they weren't out. It was frustrating.

Satisfactory stay with minor issues

warm staff castle view great selection small lift limited parking unpleasant tea
The hotel staff greeted me with warmth. Their friendliness improved my stay. My room overlooked the castle, a good sight that was especially lovely at night. I enjoyed the bar. It has a great selection of gins and wines.
The lift was small. It had old sliding doors that, if left open, stopped the lift from working. This was an inconvenience. There was limited parking. I had to park on the road and climb stairs to the hotel. Breakfast tea was unpleasant. The teabags were not of good quality.
