adequate stay with some issues

difficult window impersonal breakfast service
the location was acceptable it allowed easy access to nearby attractions.
the room's window presented a problem it took considerable effort to open it a piece of wood was necessary to keep it propped open. the bathroom window was shuttered and impossible to open the breakfast service felt impersonal i was initially directed to an undesirable table.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It overlooks the harbour. the terrace is a really good place for a sunset. the beer was local and good quality (i enjoyed trying new beers).
parking was an issue since there was only one space at the front, and it was not available. i had to park around the back, but the signage was not clear. there was an ashtray full of cigarettes and weeds at the front of the hotel. this was not a good first impression.

freshly cooked options friendly staff
The staff were great. the breakfast included freshly cooked options. I especially enjoyed the welsh cakes (they were amazing!).
The signage for rear parking wasn't very clear. I struggled to find it upon arrival.

mixed experience, issues require attention

poor lighting inadequate service
the staff was friendly upon arrival.
the room had dust atop the wardrobe and lighting was inadequate. breakfast felt rushed, and the menu wasn't explained. the service did not seem to warrant the price paid.
